The power of kindness - Book review

I was one of those who used to blame themselves for being extra kind in such a cruel world, thinking like "why should I act like that while no one really cares", and sometimes I felt foolish for not receiving what I thought must receive upon my acts of kindness. To be honest, I couldn't change my behavior, it took me a long time and a great fight to convince myself that my acts are for my own sake in the first place, that I am kind to myself before the others and I am not a fool, and to convince myself that someone may need that kindness without even knowing it. I don't really agree with all that is written in this book, but somehow, it does actually says it all. It's about discovering the abandoned beauty of your soul whether you are one of those hating their kindness or one of those who forgot how to be kind. It simplifies the journey and guides you in your fight to LOVE THE KIND YOU!

And here are some of my favorite quotes from the power of kindness, by Piero Ferrucci:
"Just as important is to realize that microcosm is a microcosm: each person is the whole world. Each individual, in some subtle and mysterious way, embodies all people. If we can bring some relief and well-being to just one person's life, this is already victory; a silent, humble response to the suffering and pain of the planet. This is the starting point"

"There is no choice between being kind to others and being kind to ourselves, it's the same thing"

"We may not know it, we may have forgotten it, but it's true: we are already kind"

I hope you read and ENJOY it!
